Repair

Many minor repairs can be done to a piano during the course of tuning for very cheap. Most common issues are caused by humidity and can be resolved by purchasing a dehumidifier for your piano. At Fort Worth Piano Tuning, we specialize in these kinds of repairs. 
Older pianos can have less common issues such as cracks in the bridge pins, Broken action parts and worn out hammers. these repair will need to be evaluated on site to estimate the cost of fixing . this is a list of the most common repairs we see.

Sticking Keys

One of the more common issues with pianos is what some would call a sticky or a sticking key.  There can be a number of possibilities that cause this problem. Here are some of the more common reasons why a key could be sticking
  • Key slip could be too close to the front of the keys
  • Key Bushing could be tight due to felt swelling
  • Balance rail felt too tight
  • Front rail pin or balance rail pin are corroded
  • Rotated front rail pin
